THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES JOB TRAINING PROGRAMS AND OTHER SERVICES FOR DEVELOPMENTALLY DISABLED

PRE-VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM (PRE-VOC). PRE-VOC SERVICES OFFER SUPPORT AND TRAINING TO INDIVIDUALS TO PREPARE THEM FOR EMPLOYMENT. THE SERVICES ARE NOT VOCATIONAL IN NATURE, BUT RATHER FOCUS ON THOSE THINGS NEEDED BEFORE EMPLOYMENT. THESE INCLUDES FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS, WORK ATTITUDE AND HABITS, ADJUSTING TO WORKPLACE DEMANDS, COMMUNICATION AND SOCIAL SKILLS NECESSARY FOR SUCCESS IN A WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT.


COMMUNITY REHAB: INDEPENDENT LIVING AND SOCIAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT CONSISTING OF NON-WORK RELATED TRAINING IN THE CONSUMERS HOMES AND THEIR COMMUNITY.


GROUP DAY HABILITATION (DAY HAB). DAY HAB SERVICES ARE DESIGNED TO FOSTER DEVELOPMENT OF SKILLS AND BEHAVIORS THAT LEAD TO GREATER INDEPENDENCE, COMMUNITY INCLUSION, RELATIONSHIP BUILDING AND MORE INFORMED CHOICES. PROGRAMMING TAKES PLACE IN THE CENTER AND AT A VARIETY OF COMMUNITY-BASED SITES. PROGRAMMING ALSO REFLECTS THE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF INDIVIDUALS AS STATED IN THEIR INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICE PLAN.


OTHER: A VARIETY OF OTHER PROGRAMS AND SERVICES TO THE DISABLED OF NORTHERN WESTCHESTER AND PUTNAM COUNTIES, NEW YORK, INCLUDING MEDICAID SERVICE COORDINATION PROGRAMS, SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT, PLACEMENT AND FOLLOW-UP, FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES, AFTER HOURS RECREATION, IN HOME TRAINING AND RESPITE SERVICES.
