THE AMERICAN TURKISH SOCIETY'S MISSION IS TO ENHANCE BUSINESS, ECONOMIC, AND CULTURAL TIES BETWEEN TURKEY AND THE UNITED STATES.

EACH YEAR THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS COVER SOME PORTION OF TUITION FEES OF THE STUDENTS AS WELL THEIR TRANSPORTATION AND ACCOMMODATION COSTS IN THE US. IN THAT RESPECT, (I) "PROMISING TURKS FUND" SUPPORTS EMERGING TURKISH LEADERS, (II) THE "ARIF MARDIN FELLOWSHIP AT BERKLEE" DEDICATES TO NURTURING MUSICAL TALENT, (III) THE "AHMET ERTEGUN SCHOLARSHIP AT JUILLIARD SCHOOL" ASSISTS EXCEPTIONAL STUDENTS IN THEIR ARTISTIC PURSUITS, AND (IV) THE "SCHOOL OF VISUAL ARTS - ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAMS" PROVIDES ARTISTS WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT.
