SEE SCHEDULE OLICADD SERVED COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN 2023 IN IMPORTANT WAYS PROVIDING SUBSTANCE USE ASSESSMENTS, COUNSELING, REFERRALS AND RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES TO LONG ISLAND RESIDENTS IMPACTED BY ADDICTION. ACROSS TELEHEALTH, INDIVIDUAL SUPPORT, GROUPS AND COMMUNITY SERVICES, LICADD PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY 14,000 UNITS OF PROGRAM SERVICE IN 2023. LICADD PROVIDED 190 FOCUSED PREVENTION EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND REACHED OVER 12,000 PEOPLE IN CLASSROOMS, COMMUNITY CENTERS, AND PLACES OF WORSHIP, PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCES AND PUBLIC EVENTS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND COMMUNITIES, AND SCHOOLS. LICADD CONTINUED TO EXPAND THE HERE PROGRAM, PROVIDING ONGOING GENERAL PREVENTION COUNSELING TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS ON MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES UNDERLYING REPORTED ADDICTION CONCERNS THAT DID NOT MEET FULL CRITERIA FOR DIAGNOSIS. LICADD'S RENEWED CRIMINAL JUSTICE PROGRAMMING RETURNED TO THE SUFFOLK COUNTY CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES TO OFFER SKILLS AND SUPPORT TO INCARCERATED MEN AND WOMEN STRUGGLING WITH ADDICTION AND MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES, PROVIDING OVER 950 GROUP SERVICES IN 2023.
