MERCER COUNCIL ENVISIONS A HEALTHY, SAFE, AND RESPONSIBLE COMMUNITY. TO CREATE PATHWAYS TO REDUCE SUBSTANCE-RELATED CHALLENGES THROUGH EDUCATION, SUPPORT,ADVOCACY, AND PARTNERSHIPS THROUGHOUT OUR COMMUNITY.

IN 2023 MERCER COUNCIL REACHED MORE THAN 4,485 STUDENTS WITH MORE THAN 40 PREVENTION EDUCATION PRESENTATIONS AND ASSEMBLIES ACROSS 14 MERCER COUNTY SCHOOLS. THROUGH ONLINE AND IN-PERSON MEETINGS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EVIDENCE-BASED CURRICULUM FACILITATED IN COMMUNITY CENTERS, PREVENTION COALITION MEETINGS, ALL RECOVERY MEETINGS, EAP SERVICES, SUBSTANCE USE EVALUATIONS, NARCAN TRAINING SESSIONS AND RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES, MERCER COUNCIL WAS ABLE TO DIRECTLY REACH OVER 1,126 INDIVIDUALS. BY PARTICIPATING IN MANY LARGE-SCALE COMMUNITY-WIDE EVENTS, MERCER COUNCIL WAS ALSO ABLE TO SHARE PREVENTION RESOURCES AND INFORMATION TO AN ESTIMATED 5,485+ COMMUNITY RESIDENTS ACROSS MERCER COUNTY. APPROXIMATELY 1,976 STUDENTS WERE REPORTED TO HAVE BEEN SERVED THROUGH DIRECT EVIDENCE-BASED, MULTI-SESSION PREVENTION CURRICULUM AND PROGRAMMING. 101 PEOPLE WERE CONNECTED TO RECOVERY AND SUPPORT SERVICES THROUGH THE OPIOID OVERDOSE RECOVERY PROGRAM. 152 SUBSTANCE USE EVALUATIONS WERE COMPLETED. WE SAW A ROUGHLY 31% INCREASE IN ENGAGEMENT WITH OUR AGENCY FACEBOOK PAGE, AND HAD 6,672 ENGAGEMENTS THROUGH FACEBOOK, LINKEDIN AND INSTAGRAM CHANNELS OF SOCIAL MEDIA.
