HAERETICUS IS ACTING AS A SUBCONSULTANT TO A CONTRACT SET FORTH BY THE COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT UNIT OF THE BARBABIAN MINISTRY OF THE ENVIRONMENT TO ASSESS THE ISLANDS RESILIENCY OF ITS MARINE RESOURCES, ESPECIALLY CORAL REEFS, TO CLIMATE CHANGE. THIS PROJECT WAS FUNDED AS A LOAN TO THE BARBADIAN GOVERNMENT BY THE INTER-AMERICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK AND FUNDS WHERE DISTRIBUTED BY BAIRD ENGINEERING.
THE LEVERHULME FOUNDATION PROVIDED A GRANT FOR SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH REGARDING THE ABILITY OF CORALS TO UNDERGO ACCELERATED SENESCENCE AGING WHEN EXPOSED TO CLIMATE CHANGE FACTORS SUCH AS HEAT STRESS.
