THE PURPOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION IS TO: 1. PROMOTE THE COMMON BUSINESS INTERESTS OF THOSE ENGAGED IN THE MORTGAGE BROKERAGE INDUSTRY. 2. TO PROMOTE COOPERATIVE BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS AMONG ITS MEMBERS. TO PROVIDE A FORUM FOR THE EFFECTIVE EXCHANGE OF MORTGAGE BROKERAGE KNOWLEDGE, TRENDS, IDEAS AND INNOVATIONS. 3. TO PROMOTE AND ENHANCE THE IMAGE OF THE MORTGAGE BROKERAGE PROFESSIONAL THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF HAWAII. 4. TO FOSTER A BROAD UNDERSTANDING AND ACCEPTANCE OF PROFESSIONAL MORTGAGE BROKERING AS A SOURCE OF ALTERNATIVE FINANCING. 5. TO PROTECT THE MORTGAGE BROKERAGE INDUSTRY AND PUBLIC THROUGH LEGISLATIVE ACTIONS. 6. TO PROMOTE THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE AND MORTGAGE BROKERING ETHICS. 7. TO PROMOTE A COOPERATIVE LIAISON WITH OTHER RELATED PROFESSIONAL GROUPS. 8. TO DO ANY AND ALL THINGS THAT ARE LAWFUL AND APPROPRIATE IN THE FURTHERANCE OF THESE PURPOSES.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE - OUR ANNUAL CONFERENCE IS FOR ALL OF THE HAWAII MORTGAGE INDUSTRY BROKERS IN HAWAII, MEMBERS, AND NON-MEMBERS. MEMBERS GET A DISCOUNTED PRICE. THE CONFERENCE FOCUSES ON CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS FOR LICENSING, AS WELL AS NETWORKING FOR MEMBERS. WE HAVE A TRADESHOW, WITH THE DIFFERENT LENDERS AS WELL, FOR THE BROKER MEMBERS TO GET TO MEET AND FIND OUT ABOUT THEIR DIFFERENT MORTGAGE PRODUCTS.


GOLF CLUB PROVIDES NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS THROUGH GOLFING ACTIVITIES


THE SEMINARS ARE ADVERTISED AS SMALLER EVENTS, WHERE WE USUALLY OFFER SOME FOOD, AND A TOPIC SPEAKER, SUCH AS ECONOMY OF THE OAHU REAL ESTATE ENVIRONMENT, OR CREDIT SCORING....HOW TO GROOM YOUR CLIENTS TO PREPARE FOR APPLYING FOR A MORTGAGE; OR A ROUND TABLE OF 4 LENDERS OR MORE, WHO TEACH OUR MORTGAGE BROKERS ABOUT THEIR PRODUCTS....WHO FITS THE PRODUCT, WHAT SITUATIONS YOU MIGHT WANT TO USE THEIR PRODUCT, ETC.


HOLIDAY BANQUET: MEETING HELD FOR INSTALLATION OF OFFICERS AND PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBER NETWORKING.
