1. NEW ARTIST PROJECTS - JACKIE AMZQUITA AND MICAELA TOBIN NEW ARTIST COMMISSIONS WITH JACKIE AMZQUITA AND MICAELA TOBIN. TITLED GEMIDOS DE LA TIERRA, JACKIE AMZQUITA CREATED A MOBILE PUBLIC ARTWORK DEPICTING THE NAMES OF INDIVIDUALS WHO PASSED AWAY WHILE IN ICE DETENTION CENTERS. LACE PRODUCED A PUBLIC PRESENTATION WHICH INCLUDED CARRYING THE WORKS ON THE BACK OF FLATBED TRUCKS ACROSS THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES, FOLLOWED BY A CAR CARAVAN OF THE PUBLIC WHO WERE PROVIDED AN AUDIO TOUR BY AMZQUITA. THE PROCESSIONS CULMINATED WITH A PUBLIC CELEBRATION FEATURING PERFORMANCES BY AMZQUITA AND SINGER/ARTIST DORIAN WOOD. MICAELA TOBIN AND LACE PREMIERED HER NEW EXPERIMENTAL OPERA APOLAKI: OPERA OF THE SCORCHED EARTH WHICH FOLLOWS THE FILIPINO GOD APOLAKI AS HE TRIES TO FIND HIS WAY HOME AFTER BEING DISPLACED BY SPANISH COLONIZERS IN THE PHILIPPINES.TOTAL CLIENTS SERVED - 750 IN PERSON PARTICIPANTS

THIS YEAR, LAUNCHED THE LACE POSTGRADUATE FELLOWSHIP WITH A CURATORIAL RESEARCH FELLOW AND AN INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING FELLOW SUPPORTED BY THE CIEE EXCHANGE PROGRAM. 3. EMERGING CURATOR PROGRAM PRESENTATIONTHE EMERGING CURATOR PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO DISCOVER CURATORIAL TALENT IN LOS ANGELES AND PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR EMERGING CURATORS TO PARTNER WITH LACE. SINCE 2015, LACE HAS PRESENTED NINE SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITIONS BY EMERGING CURATORS BASED IN LOS ANGELES.OF SEED, SOIL, AND STARS BRINGS TOGETHER SIX INTERDISCIPLINARY ARTISTS WHO COLLABORATE WITH EARTH AND COMMUNITIES, USING SOIL, RAINWATER, AND NATURAL PIGMENTS AS MATERIAL. TOGETHER, THEIR WORK EXPLORES THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE LAND AND BODY AND BETWEEN MIGRATION AND MEMORY.
