RESEARCH PROGRAMMING PRESENTED VIA ZOOM FROM MARCH THROUGH DECEMBER 2022PART OF THE GETTY PACIFIC STANDARD TIME RESEARCH GRANT(UN)DISCIPLINARY TACTICS: BEATRIZ DA COSTA IS A RESEARCH PROJECT AND EXHIBITION THAT REVISITS THE COLLABORATIVE ARTISTIC PRACTICE OF BEATRIZ DA COSTA AS A POINT OF DEPARTURE FOR ANALYZING HER WORK ALONG CONTEMPORARY ARTISTIC PRACTICES COMBINING ART AND TECHNOSCIENCE AS WELL AS ANCIENT AND NON-ACADEMIC FORMS OF KNOWLEDGE PRODUCTION. SINCE 2016, LACE HAS PRESENTED SEVEN SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITIONS BY EMERGING CURATORS BASED IN LOS ANGELES.RECLAIMING PERFORMANCE SERVES AS A VISUAL AND AUDITORY RECLAMATION OF TRANS MASCULINE EXISTENCE THROUGH PERFORMANCE. INCLUDING SOUND INSTALLATIONS, LIVE PERFORMANCES, AND PANEL DISCUSSIONS AROUND TRANSMASCULINE HISTORY, ALL WERE FILMED ALONGSIDE A LIVE AUDIENCE, SHARED ONLINE, AND EXIST AS PART OF THE LACE ARCHIVES.
