A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION TO FOSTER THE DIGNITY, CONCERNS, AND ADVANCEMENT OF WOMEN IN THE INDUSTRY AND ART OF ANIMATION.

WIA'S MEMBERSHIP ACTIVITIES HAPPEN REGULARLY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND RANGE FROM PROVIDING MEMBERS WITH UP-TO-DATE INDUSTRY NEWS AND INSIGHTS, SPOTLIGHTING MEMBERS IN THE COMMUNITY, EDUCATING MEMBERS ON INDUSTRY AND ORGANIZATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR CAREER ADVANCEMENT, CONNECTING MEMBERS TO EACH OTHER, AND GENERALLY LEARNING FROM MEMBERS WHAT THEIR NEEDS ARE IN ORDER TO IMPROVE WIA'S ADVOCACY EFFORTS.

THE WIA MENTORSHIP PROGRAM CONNECTS WOMEN, NONBINARY AND TRANSGENDER PEOPLE AT ALL LEVELS TO GREAT MENTORS WHO CAN HELP THEM ACHIEVE THEIR CAREER GOALS AND/OR THE NEXT STEPS IN THEIR CAREERS. WIA'S MENTORSHIP PROGRAM HAS MATCHED OVER 3,500 PEOPLE OF UNDERREPRESENTED GENDERS WITH EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS TO BOLSTER CAREERS AND CONFIDENCE. PARTICIPANTS REPRESENT COUNTRIES ALL OVER THE WORLD, FROM PERU TO GERMANY TO SOUTH AFRICA.


WIA PROGRAMMING EVENTS HAPPEN REGULARLY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AND RANGE FROM INSPIRATIONAL PANEL DISCUSSIONS TO NETWORKING EVENTS TO WIA'S HIGHLY ANTICIPATED ANNUAL WORLD SUMMIT AT THE ANNECY FILM FESTIVAL IN ANNECY, FRANCE. THESE EVENTS PROVIDE EDUCATION, ACCESS, AND A SENSE OF BELONGING TO WIA MEMBERS AND COMMUNITY SUPPORTERS.
