SEE SCHEDULE OTHE COLBURN SCHOOL ("THE SCHOOL") IS A CALIFORNIA NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION LOCATED IN THE HEART OF THE CULTURAL CORRIDOR IN DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA. THE MISSION OF THE SCHOOL IS TO OFFER THE HIGHEST QUALITY PERFORMING ARTS EDUCATION BY AN OUTSTANDING FACULTY IN AN OPTIMAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT.THE SCHOOL WAS FOUNDED IN 1950 AS A PREPARATORY PROGRAM FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA UNTIL 1980 WHEN IT BECAME AN INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY SCHOOL OF THE PERFORMING ARTS AND WAS ACCREDITED AS A NON-DEGREE-GRANTING INSTITUTION BY THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOLS OF MUSIC (NASM).CURRENTLY, THIS PROGRAM IS KNOWN AS THE COLBURN SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS ("CSPA") AND OFFERS PROGRAMS IN MUSIC, DANCE, DRAMA, AND VOICE TO APPROXIMATELY 1,900 STUDENTS OF ALL AGES (TODDLER TO ADULT) AND ABILITIES (NOVICE THROUGH ADVANCED). THE SCHOOL ALSO OPERATES COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS WHICH BRING PERFORMING ARTS TO UNDERSERVED CHILDREN IN INNER-CITY SCHOOLS.THE CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC, ESTABLISHED IN 2003, OFFERS UNDERGRADUATE, GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL-DEGREE PROGRAMS SPECIALIZING IN CLASSICAL MUSICAL PERFORMANCE. CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC PROGRAMS RANGE FROM TWO TO FOUR YEARS AND RESULT IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING: A BACHELOR OF MUSIC DEGREE, AN ARTIST'S DIPLOMA OR A PROFESSIONAL STUDIES CERTIFICATE. ADMISSION TO THE CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC IS HIGHLY SELECTIVE, AND THE CONSERVATORY PROVIDES FINANCIAL AID TO STUDENTS, COVERING FULL TUITION AND ROOM AND BOARD. THE CONSERVATORY HAD 129 ENROLLED STUDENTS DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021. THE CONSERVATORY IS ACCREDITED BY THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOLS OF MUSIC (NASM) AS A DEGREE-GRANTING SCHOOL.THE MUSIC ACADEMY, ESTABLISHED IN 2010, IS A NON-DEGREE PROGRAM DESIGNED TO PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE CURRICULUM OF CLASSES TO PRE-COLLEGE HIGHLY GIFTED STUDENTS FOCUSED ON CAREERS IN MUSIC. THE MUSIC ACADEMY HAD 40 STUDENTS ENROLLED DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021. THE DANCE ACADEMY, ESTABLISHED IN 2014, IS A PRE-PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM FOR A SELECT GROUP OF STUDENTS AGE 14-19 PURSUING THEIR GOAL OF BECOMING PROFESSIONAL DANCERS AND ARTISTIC LEADERS. THE DANCE ACADEMY HAD 12 STUDENTS ENROLLED DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021. STUDENTS IN BOTH ACADEMIES ARE ADMITTED BY AUDITION AND ANY TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED ARE FUNDED BY THIRD-PARTY GRANTORS.
