TO MEET THE NEEDS OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING A COMMUNITY-BASED, CHILD-FOCUSED CENTER THAT FACILITATES A COMPASSIONATE, MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO THE PREVENTION, TREATMENT, IDENTIFICATION, INVESTIGATION, AND PROSECUTION OF CHILD ABUSE.

THE CHILDRENS ADVOCACY CENTER OF JACKSON COUNTY COORDINATES SERVICES FOR ABUSED CHILDREN IN JACKSON COUNTY. THE CENTER PROVIDES FORENSIC INTERVIEWS, FORENSIC MEDICAL EVALUTIONS AND TREATMENT, SUPPORT AND ADVOCACY AND THERAPY SERVICES FOR CHILDREN WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED ABUSE. ADDITIONALLY THE CENTER PROVIDES MEDICAL TRAINING & TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR MEDICAL PERSONNEL FOR CHILD ABUSE EXAMINATIONS, EDUCATION ON MEDICAL ASPECTS OF CHILD ABUSE, CASE CONSULTATION, PEER REVIEW OF EXAM FINDINGS & EXPERT WITNESS TESTIMONY & TRAINING FOR PROSECUTION OF CHILD ABUSE CASES TO THE SOUTHERN OREGON REGION (JACKSON, JOSEPHINE, CURRY, KLAMATH AND LAKE COUNTIES).
