THE ENLOE HEALTH FOUNDATION HELPS TO SUPPORT THE VARIOUS SERVICES OF ENLOE MEDICAL CENTER INCLUDING PROVIDING RESOURCES FOR CAPITAL ASSET EXPENDITURES. IN 2022, THE ENLOE HEALTH FOUNDATION PARTIALLY FUNDED THE PURCHASE OF A GI LINEAR ULTRASOUND SCOPE. THIS PURCHASE HELPED TO ENABLE THE PHYSICIAN TO PERFORM BACK-TO-BACK ENDOSCOPIC ULTRASOUND CASES WITHOUT A DISRUPTION.
CANCER SUPPORTIVE FUNDS ARE DEDICATED TO ENSURE ACCESS TO CANCER SERVICES NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE, INCLUDING TRANSPORTATION COSTS, COMPRESSION GARMENTS, NUTRITIONAL EDUCATION, NURSE NAVIGATOR SERVICES AND COMPLIMENTARY TREATMENTS AIMED AT REDUCING THE UNPLEASANT EFFECTS OF TREATMENT SUCH AS ACUPUNCTURE AND EXERCISE TRAINING. ADDITIONALLY, EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS DESIGNED TO AID IN THE PSYCHOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF CANCER TREATMENT ARE FUNDED BY CHARITABLE DONORS WHO GIVE TO THE ENLOE CELEBRATION COMPASSION FUND. THESE MATERIALS FOCUS ON JOURNALING TECHNIQUES, HEALING ART AND GRIEF MANAGEMENT.
THE ENLOE HEALTH FOUNDATION BEGAN A MULTI-YEAR CAPITAL CAMPAIGN TO RAISE $12 MILLION IN SUPPORT OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW ENLOE COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CENTER. IN THE NORTH STATE, CANCER IS THE LEADING CAUSE OF DEATH. ENLOE MEDICAL CENTER RECOGNIZES THE CRITICAL NEED FOR EXPANDED SERVICES. THE NEW CENTER IS NECESSARY TO SERVE THE INCREASED POPULATION OF THE SERVICE REGION AND THE GROWTH IN CANCER PREVALENT IN THE COUNTY. THE NEW MEDICAL CENTER PLANS TO CREATE A NEW, CENTRALLY LOCATED COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CENTER, WHERE PATIENTS CAN GET ALL OF THEIR CANCER CARE FROM START TO FINISH. ENLOE HEALTH FOUNDATION OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDE SUPPORT PROVIDED BY DONOR ADVISED FUND DISTRIBUTIONS AS WELL AS SUPPORT IN CONNECTION WITH OPERATIONAL ACTIVITES.
