FAMILY VIOLENCE LAW CENTER ("FVLC") HELPS DIVERSE COMMUNITIES IN ALAMEDA COUNTY HEAL FROM DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT, ADVOCATING FOR JUSTICE AND HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS. WE PROVIDE SURVIVOR-CENTERED LEGAL AND CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES, OFFER PREVENTION EDUCATION FOR YOUTH AND OTHER COMMUNITY MEMBERS, AND ENGAGE IN POLICY WORK TO CREATE SYSTEMIC CHANGE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

FVLC'S LEGAL DEPARTMENT PROVIDED LEGAL INFORMATION, ASSESSMENTS, PAPERWORK PREPARATION ASSISTANCE, ADVICE AND COUNSEL, AND REPRESENTATION TO 1,343 LEGAL CLIENTS. IN ADDITION, FVLC ADVOCATED FOR SYSTEMS CHANGE TO ADDRESS ISSUES IMPACTING SURVIVORS SUCH AS HOMELESSNESS.


FVLC'S FAMILY VIOLENCE INTERVENTION UNIT PROVIDED SURVIVOR-CENTERED SERVICES FOR 2,691 PEOPLE WHO EXPERIENCE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL ASSAULT INCLUDING 24-HOUR CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES AND CASE MANAGEMENT.


FVLC PROVIDED PREVENTION INITIATIVES FOR YOUTH INCLUDING YOUTH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY ORGANIZING AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH, AND EDUCATION. FVLC COMPLETED 3 YOUTH LEADERSHIP COHORTS.
