WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT - THROUGH WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND EMPLOYMENT TRAINING PROGRAMS, CSET, INC. PROVIDES EMPLOYMENT AND JOB READINESS SERVICES, INCLUDING VACATIONAL TRAINING AND WORK-BASED TRAINING, TO ADULTS AND YOUTH THROUGHOUT TULARE COUNTY. SERVICES ARE TARGETED TO DISADVANTAGED AND DISLOCATED ADULT WORKERS, OLDER WORKERS, NON-TRADITIONAL CAREER OPPORTUNITIES FOR WOMEN AND BOTH IN-SCHOOL AND OUT-OF-SCHOOL YOUTH.
CSET'S COMMUNITY INITIATIVES DEPARTMENT MANAGES A VARIETY OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS THAT PROMOTE COMMUNITY VISIONING, EQUIP COMMUNITY LEADERS, AND STRENGTHEN THE RESIDENTIAL, BUSINESS, AND FAMILIAL ASSETS OF LOCAL COMMUNITIES. PROGRAMS PROVIDED BY THE COMMUNITY INITIATIVES DEPARTMENT ARE DESIGNED AND FOCUSED ON REDUCING THE CAUSES OF POVERTY THROUGH VARIOUS STRATEGIES THAT UNITE RESIDENTS, IMPROVE NEIGHBORHOODS AND TRAIN YOUTH TO BE LEADERS.
SCC - CSET'S SEQUOIA COMMUNITY CORPS OFFERS VOCATIONAL TRAINING IN THE TRADES OF WEATHERIZATION, URBAN FORESTRY, CONSERVATION EDUCATION, AND RECYCLING, INCLUDING THE RECYCLING OF CRV BEVERAGE CONTAINERS, E-WASTE, USED OIL, AND WASTE TIRES. THE SCC OFFERS EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING PROGRAMS THROUGH LITTER ABATEMENT PROJECTS WITH PARTNERS SUCH AS CALTRANS, THE CITY OF VISALIA AND THE CITY OF PORTERVILLE.
ENERGY SERVICES - CSET INC.'S ENERGY SERVICES PROGRAMS PROVIDE UTILITY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO RESIDENTS STRUGGLING TO COVER THEIR HOME ENERGY COSTS, AS WELL AS WEATHERIZATION SERVICES DESIGNED TO REDUCE HEATING AND COOLING COSTS BY INSTALLING ENERGY EFFICIENT MEASURES IN QUALIFIED HOMES.
