OUR VISION IS THAT MORE BAY AREA CHILDREN AND FAMILIES HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY AND SKILLS TO MAINTAIN STABLE, HEALTHY LIVES, REALIZE THEIR POTENTIAL, AND BETTER CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR COMMUNITY. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS VISION, HOLY FAMILY DAY HOME ("HFDH") PROVIDES AFFORDABLE, HIGH QUALITY, EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES IN A STABLE AND NURTURING ENVIRONMENT, THEREBY PROVIDING CHILDREN OF WORKING FAMILIES SKILLS AND HOPE FOR LIFELONG DEVELOPMENT. THIS MISSION CONTINUES A TRADITION ESTABLISHED IN 1900 BY THE SISTERS OF THE HOLY FAMILY.

THE PRESCHOOL CHILD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IS BASED AT THE DOLORES STREET SITE. OF THE 108 STUDENTS CURRENTLY ENROLLED, 82% RECEIVE SUBSIDIZED EDUCATION FROM THE CITY OR STATE AND ARE CONSIDERED EITHER LOW INCOME OR VERY LOW INCOME. IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THESE SERVICES, FAMILIES MUST FALL WITHIN 85% OF THE STATE MEDIUM INCOME (SMI). 51% OF OUR FAMILIES ARE ELIGIBLE FOR FREE AND/ OR REDUCED PRICE LUNCH BASED ON THEIR INCOME AND FALL NEAR THE POVERTY LINE.OF THE FAMILIES CURRENTLY ENROLLED, 81% ARE HOMELESS, FORMERLY HOMELESS, OR VERY LOW INCOME. BY ETHNICITY, OUR FAMILIES ARE 57% LATINX, 13% WHITE, 14% MULTI-RACIAL, 6% BLACK, 9% ASIAN, AND 1% PACIFIC ISLANDER.


THE INFANT TODDLER PROGRAM SERVES A TOTAL OF 28 CHILDREN AGES 3 TO 30 MONTHS OLD, WITH CURRENT ENROLLMENT OF 27 TODDLERS IN 2 CLASSROOMS.
