LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT: TO DEVELOP EFFECTIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE MEMBERS OF FARM BUREAU. SPECIFIC PROGRAMS INCLUDE: MEMBERSHIP RETENTION, LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT, YOUNG FARMERS AND RANCHERS, GROWING FARM BUREAU, CITIZENSHIP, SCHOLARSHIP, SAFETY, AND RURAL HEALTH COMMITTEES.
COMMUNICATIONS: THE FARM BUREAU COMMUNICATIONS/NEWS SERVICES PROVIDE INFORMATION TO THE MEMBERSHIP AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC THROUGH RADIO, TELEVISION, NEWSPAPER, MAGAZINE, AND WEBSITE. THE PURPOSE IS TO PRESENT AGRICULTURE'S VIEWPOINT TO THE MEDIA WHEN IT IS NEEDED. THE WEEKLY PUBLICATION, AG ALERT, EMPHASIZES THE ANALYSIS OF LEGISLATION, CAPITOL EVENTS AND MARKET NEWS.
