THE NORTHWEST HYDROELECTRIC ASSOCIATION (NWHA) PROVIDES A REGIONAL VOICE FOR THE HYDROPOWER INDUSTRY, REPRESENTING THE NEEDS OF ITS MEMBERSHIP SINCE 1981. NWHA IS DEDICATED TO THE PROMOTION OF THE NATION'S WATERPOWER AS A CLEAN, EFFICIENT, COST-EFFECTIVE RENEWABLE ENERGY RESOURCE WHILE PROTECTING THE FISHERIES IN ENVIRONMENT QUALITY UNIQUE TO OUR NW REGION.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE: THIS EVENT OCCURS EVERY FEBRUARY WITHIN THE NORTHWEST AND INCLUDES SPEAKER PRESENTATIONS TO THE MEMBERSHIP AND NON-MEMBER ATTENDEES. COST INCLUDES THE HOTEL, AUDIO/VISUAL, SHOW DECORATOR, AND REFRESHMENTS TO IMPLEMENT THE ACTIVITY. THERE WERE 353 ATTENDEES PARTICIPATING IN THE 2022 CONFERENCE. THE CONFERENCE IS 2 1/2 DAYS IN LENGTH.
WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS. IN THIS FISCAL YEAR NWHA PROVIDED A VIRTUAL TECHNICAL WORKSHOP, AND A VIRTUAL FALL WORKSHOP. APPROXIMATELY 80 ATTENDEES PARTICIPATED IN THE TECHNICAL WORKHSHOP AND 100 IN THE FALL REGIONAL WORKSHOP. THE WORKSHOPS PROVIDED EDUCATION TO A VARIETY OF MEMBERS (CONSULTANTS, GENERATORS, SUPPLIERS, ETC.).
