OUR CAUSE IS TO STRENGTHEN THE FOUNDATION OF OUR COMMUNITY. WE DO THIS BY FOLLOWING OUR MISSION OF PUTTING CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES INTO PRACTICE FOR ALL BY PROMOTING YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, ENCOURAGING HEALTHY LIVING, AND PRACTICING SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. IT IS THE GOAL OF THE YMCA THAT NO ONE IS LEFT OUT BY THEIR LACK OF ABILITY TO PAY.

OUR YMCA PROVIDES HIGH QUALITY CHILD CARE AND IS ONE OF TWO SOUTHERN OREGON PROVIDERS WITH A 5 STAR QRIS RATING. WE WERE ONE OF A FEW PROVIDERS IN OREGON SELECTED TO CONTINUE TO OFFER THE PRESCHOOL PROMISE. IT IS AN OREGON PROGRAM THAT OFFERS FREE FULL TIME PRESCHOOL TO LOW INCOME FAMILIES. IN ADDITION, WE PROVIDED BOTH FULL AND PART TIME OPTIONS TO SERVE A WIDE RANGE OF FAMILY SCHEDULING NEEDS. WE ALSO EXPANDED OUR SERVICES TO INCLUDE INFANT CARE.
THE YMCA OF KLAMATH FALLS PROVIDES INSTRUCTIONS IN SWIMMING TO ALL AGES. OUR SWIMMING LESSONS ARE DESIGNED TO MOVE CHILDREN FROM NOT BEING ABLE TO SWIM AT ALL, LEVEL 1, TO BEING COMFORTABLE IN THE WATER WITH A VARIETY OF SWIM STROKES, LEVEL 6. WE START CHILDREN IN THE WATER AS EARLY AS A FEW MONTHS OLD WITH OUR PARENT TOT SWIM LESSONS.
YOUTH SPORTS ENCOURAGES A PHILOSOPHY OF FAIR PLAY AND TEAMWORK. THE YOUTH PROGRAMS HELP GIVE KIDS GOOD ROLE MODELS AND LEARN OUR CORE VALUES OF HONESTY, CARING, RESPECT, AND RESPONSIBILITY. WE BELIEVE EVERY CHILD SHOULD HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE. WE OFFER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO ENSURE CHILDREN OF LOW INCOME FAMILIES CAN PARTICIPATE. WE ALSO OFFER A JR.GIANTS SUMMER BASEBALL PROGRAM. THIS IS A FREE PROGRAM FOR KIDS AGES 5-18 TO LEARN BASEBALL, READING, AND CHARACTER SKILLS.
HEALTH ENHANCEMENT OFFERS PROGRAMS WHICH INCLUDE WEIGHT MANAGEMENT, EMOTIONAL SUPPORT, AND FITNESS OF BOTH MIND AND BODY. OUR YMCA PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, ABILITIES, FAITHS, ETHNIC GROUPS, AND INCOMES.
