MEMBERSHIP SERVICES: THE CHAMBER SERVES AS AN ADVOCATE FOR LOCAL BUSINESS, ADVOCATING FOR THE BEST ENVIRONMENT FOR BUSINESS BY PROMOTING ECONOMIC STRENGTH AND GROWTH FOR INTERIOR ALASKA WHILE DEVELOPING A NETWORKING HUB TO USE AND SHARE KNOWLEDGE. NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE: WEEKLY MEMBERSHIP LUNCHEONS WITH GUEST SPEAKER PRESENTATIONS OF ISSUES OF IMPORTANCE TO BUSINESSES AND THE COMMUNITY, BUSINESS AFTER HOURS EVENTS, THE CHAMBER'S ANNUAL OPERATION STANDING TOGETHER EVENT, AND THE CHAMBER'S WEEKLY E-NEWSLETTER. THE CHAMBER ALSO PROVIDES ENHANCED MARKETING AND VISIBILITY FOR ITS MEMBERS, AS WELL AS LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR MEMBERS SEEKING TO EXPAND THEIR EXISTING LEADERSHIP SKILLS.
GOLDEN DAYS - THIS COMMUNITY EVENT PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE PIONEER DAYS OF FAIRBANKS, AND HONORS SOME OF FAIRBANKS' HISTORICAL RESIDENTS. GOLDEN DAYS ACTIVITIES INCLUDE A STREET FAIR, THE ANNUAL RUBBER DUCKIE RACE, AND THE GOLDEN DAYS PARADE.
RECOGNITION: THE CHAMBER HONORS EXCELLENCE IN THE COMMUNITY IN VOLUNTEERISM, EDUCATION AND BUSINESS LEADERSHIP. ADDITIONALLY, THE CHAMBER'S ANNUAL MILITARY APPRECIATION BANQUET HONORS MILITARY PERSONNEL FROM INTERIOR ALASKA WHO HAVE BEEN HONORED FOR THEIR EXCELLENCE, LEADERSHIP, AND COMMITMENT IN SERVICE TO OUR ARMED FORCES. CIVILIANS IN THE COMMUNITY HOST MILITARY COUPLES AND SINGLE SOLDIERS/AIRMEN FOR AN EVENING OF DINNER AND AN AWARDS CEREMONY.
