NURSING RESEARCH GRANTS ARE AWARDED TO NURSES WHO SUBMIT A RESEARCH PROPOSAL THAT IS REVIEWED BY THE FOUNDATION'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS FOR RELEVANCY. INDIVIDUAL AWARDS ARE MADE FROM $1,000 TO $4,000 DEPENDING ON THE SCOPE OF THE RESEARCH PROJECT. IN ADDITION THE FOUNDATION ISSUES GRANTS TO NURSES WHO ARE TRAVELING TO DISASTER AREAS IN THE UNITED STATES AND ABROAD TO GIVE UNPAID HELP AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE AS NEEDED
