THE MEDIEVAL WOMEN'S CHOIR BEGAN IN 1990 AS A CLASS FOR TWELVE WOMEN AT THE NORTHWEST CENTER FOR EARLY MUSIC STUDIES. THE CHOIR PRESENTED ITS FIRST CONCERT IN 1991 AND EXPANDED TO A TWO-CONCERT SEASON IN 1995-96. AFTER THREE YEARS AS A PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATE OF THE EARLY MUSIC GUILD, THE CHOIR INCORPORATED AS AN INDEPENDENT ORGANIZATION IN NOVEMBER 1999. IN OUR 30+ YEAR HISTORY THE CHOIR HAS PERFORMED IN THE US NORTHWEST AND AROUND THE COUNTRY, AND INTERNATIONALLY, AND HAS RELEASED NUMEROUS RECORDINGS. ~~~ THE MEDIEVAL WOMEN'S CHOIR IS LED BY ERIC ERIC MENTZEL, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR. ~~~ IN THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2022, THE CHOIR GAVE THE FOLLOWING PERFORMANCES. #1: MUSIC OF MIRTH WAS A PUBLIC CHORAL CONCERT HELD ON DECEMBER 4, 2021 AT SAINT JAMES CATHEDRAL IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON. APPROXIMATELY 350 PEOPLE ATTENDED A CONCERT WITH APPROXIMATELY 50 MUSICIANS AND 15 VOLUNTEERS PERFORMING. PSA#2: FEAST OF FOOLS WAS A PUBLIC MEDIEVAL FESTIVAL INCLUDING MUSICAL PERFORMANCE, DANCE, AND THEATER, HELD ON APRIL 2ND, 2022, AT EPIPHANY EPISCOPAL CHURCH IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON. 115 PEOPLE ATTENDED WITH 65 PERFORMERS AND 20 VOLUNTEERS. PSA #3: DELIVERANCE WAS A PUBLIC CHORAL CONCERT OF MEDIEVAL MUSIC WAS HELD ON JUNE 4TH, 2022 AT SAINT JAMES CATHEDRAL IN SEATTLE, WASHINGTON. 100 PEOPLE ATTENDED WITH 30 MUSICIANS PERFORMING ASSISTED BY 12 VOLUNTEERS.
