TOUR: OUR YOUTH CHOIRS PARTICIPATED IN THE GOLDEN GATE FESTIVAL IN PIEDMONT, CALIFORNIA WHERE THEY NOT ONLY PERFORMED AT HOSTED CONCERTS, BUT ALSO COMPETED IN VARIOUS CHORAL CATEGORIES. OUR ADULT TREBLE CHOIR WENT ON A MORE LOCAL TOUR WHERE THEY PARTICIPATED IN AN EXCHANGE WITH ANOTHER TREBLE CHOIR.
SUMMER CAMPS: WE RAN A SUMMER MUSIC DAY CAMP FOR CHILDREN AGED 5-10 TO SING AND CONTINUE DEVELOPING THEIR MUSIC SKILLS.ENRICHMENT CHOIR PROGRAM: IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL PTSAS, WE STARTED AN ENRICHMENT CHOIR PROGRAM IN LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS THAT DO NOT HAVE CHOIR OPPORTUNITIES IN THOSE SCHOOLS.
REHEARSALS: CHOIR REHEARSALS ARE THE PRIMARY FOCUS OF THE ORGANIZATION, PROVIDING MUSIC INSTRUCTION TO SINGERS AGED FOUR THROUGH ADULT. REHEARSALS ALLOW OUR MEMBERS TO IMPROVE AND HONE THEIR SKILLS TO BECOME BETTER MUSICIANS AND SINGERS, AS WELL AS TO LEARN MUSIC IN PREPARATION FOR CONCERTS, PERFORMANCES ON TOUR, COMMUNITY OUTREACH CONCERTS, AND OTHER MUSICAL EVENTS IN WHICH WE PARTICIPATE. REHEARSALS TEACH THE SINGER BASIC MUSIC SKILLS - HOW TO READ MUSIC, MUSIC THEORY AND SIGHT-READING - AND HELP THE SINGERS IMPROVE VOCALLY AS AN INDIVIDUAL, AS WELL AS A CHOIR MEMBER.
CONCERTS: WE RESUMED A NORMAL IN-PERSON CONCERT SERIES IN THE 2022-2023 SEASON. IN ADDITION TO OUR REGULAR CONCERT SERIES WITH CONCERTS IN DECEMBER AND JUNE, OUR ADULT CHOIRS PERFORMED ON A CONCERT SERIES SPONSORED BY A LOCAL CHURCH IN MARCH, AND IN MAY OUR YOUTH AND ADULT MIXED CHOIR PARTICIPATED IN A COLLABORATION WITH A LOCAL ORCHESTRA/CHORAL ORGANIZATION.
