SEATTLE PRO MUSICA CELEBRATED ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON IN 2022-23. WE PERFORMED FIVE CONCERTS FEATURING THE WORK OF FIVE DIFFERENT COMPOSERS IN A FESTIVE LAUNCH OF OUR NEW AMERICAN COMPOSERS SERIES. OUR COMPOSERS - ALL BIPOC AMERICANS - SPENT TIME IN SEATTLE WORKING WITH US AND WITH PARTNER SCHOOLS IN ADVANCE OF OUR PREMIERES OF THEIR NEW WORKS; WE REACHED OVER 1,400 STUDENTS THROUGH THIS PROJECT. WE CONCLUDED THE SEASON WITH OUR PERFORMANCES OF TWO MAJOR CHORAL- ORCHESTRAL WORKS, MOZART'S GREAT MASS IN C MINOR PAIRED WITH ETHYL SMYTH'S MASS IN D.
