THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS OF WASHINGTON EDUCATION FUND IS DEDICATED TO STRENGTHENING THE PUBLICS KNOWLEDGE OF GOVERNMENT IN WASHINGTON STATE. WE SPONSOR AND SUPPORT NONPARTISAN EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS TO STRENGTHEN TO HELP THE PUBLIC BETTER UNDERSTAND MAJOR PUBLIC POLICY ISSUES

1.GRANTS TO LOCAL LEAGUE PROJECTS, PLUS LWVUS GRANT FOR REDISTRICTING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, PLUS THE CIVIC EDUCATION GRANT:$38,100 FOR ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TO ALL PROGRAMS, $29,702 LOCAL LEAGUES EDUCATION FUND APPROVED PROJECTS COVERING A VARIETY OF TOPICS, $4,970 BECAUSE LWVWA WAS THE RECIPIENT OF A GRANT FROM LWVUS TO PUT ON A SERIES OF PUBLIC EDUCATION MEETINGS ON THE TOPIC OF REDISTRICTING, $3,950 FOR THE CIVIC EDUCATION GRANT.
2. WE CONTINUED WITH SALES OF OUR CIVICS TEXTBOOK, THE STATE WERE IN: WASHINGTON, YOUR GUIDE TO STATE, LOCAL AND TRIBAL GOVERNMENT, 8TH EDITION. THE LEAGUE PUBLISHED THE STATE WERE IN: WASHINGTON FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS AND A TEACHERS GUIDE. THESE ARE AVAILABLE IN MULTIPLE LANGUAGES ON THE INTERNET.
3. OUTREACH AND VOTER EDUCATION:OTHER PROGRAMS CONDUCTED BY THE LWVWA EDUCATION FUND CONSISTED OF PROVIDING PROGRAM SUPPORT FOR THE STATE OFFICE, CONDUCTING STATEWIDE MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES, PARTICIPATING IN VOTE 411 ($6,000), WHICH IS A LWVUS VOTER EDUCATIONAL WEBSITE AND DOING OTHER PUBLIC OUTREACH, SUCH AS KEEPING OUR WEBSITE UPDATED, PROVIDING DIGITAL PUBLICATIONS TO OUR MEMBERS AND TO THE PUBLIC AND PROVIDING SUPPORT AND OUTREACH TO LOCAL LEAGUES AND THE PUBLIC ON ITEMS OF PUBLIC INTEREST AND ACCESS TO VOTING ($5,555).
