CAMPUS: THE BUS'S CAMPUS PROGRAM OFFERS STUDENTS OPPORTUNITIES FOR CIVICENGAGEMENT, VOTER EDUCATION, AND VOTER REGISTRATION. THE BUS'S APPROACH TOCAMPUS ORGANIZING CENTERS THE EXPERIENCES OF YOUNG PEOPLE AND MAKES CIVICENGAGEMENT FUN AND ACCESSIBLE. THE BUS SUPPORTS STUDENT LEADERS ON CAMPUSWITH TRAINING AND RESOURCES TO ENCOURAGE PEER-LED ACTIVITIES AND THE CULTIVATION OFA CULTURE OF CIVIC ENGAGEMENT ON CAMPUS.
FELLOWS: THE BUS FELLOWSHIP IS AN INTENSIVE TEN-WEEK LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENTAND POLITICAL ORGANIZING PROGRAM FOR YOUNG PEOPLE AGES 18 - 25 IN WASHINGTONSTATE. IT IS AN INTENTIONAL AND TRANSFORMATIVE EXPERIENCE FOR YOUNG FOLKS WHO AREREADY TO INSPIRE CHANGE ALONGSIDE THEIR COMMUNITIES. OVER THE COURSE OF TENWEEKS, FELLOWS LEARN FROM PROGRESSIVE EXPERTS FROM ACROSS THE STATE, RUN THEMOST INNOVATIVE, EFFECTIVE AND FUN CIVIC PROGRAMS IN WASHINGTON STATE, ANDCOLLABORATE WITH COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND ISSUE CAMPAIGNS FOR HANDS-ONORGANIZING EXPERIENCE. THE BUS RECRUITS FELLOWSHIP PARTICIPANTS FROM A DIVERSITY OFCOMMUNITIES. FELLOWS GRADUATE WITH A PROFESSIONAL NETWORK AND EXPERIENCES THEYCAN APPLY IN A VARIETY OF FIELDS, INCLUDING ORGANIZING IN THEIR OWN COMMUNITIES
HIGH SCHOOL: THE BUS'S HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM PROVIDES NONPARTISAN PRESENTATIONSABOUT THE HISTORY OF VOTING RIGHTS, THE IMPORTANCE OF HOLISTIC CIVIC ENGAGEMENT,AND THE OPPORTUNITIES THAT YOUNG PEOPLE HAVE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THEIRCOMMUNITIES. BY TARGETING HIGH SCHOOLS WITH HIGHER PROPORTIONS OF HISTORICALLYUNDERREPRESENTED PEOPLE, WE'RE BRINGING IMPORTANT RESOURCES TO THE NEXTGENERATIONS OF LEADERS. ELIGIBLE STUDENTS ARE ALSO PROVIDED WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TOREGISTER TO VOTE, INCREASING THE LIKELIHOOD OF THEM VOTING DURING ELECTIONS ANDENGAGING IN CIVIC LIFE.
