THE NEIGHBORHOOD FARMERS MARKETS PROVIDED EFFECTIVE AND RELIABLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR MORE THAN 170 WASHINGTON STATE FAMILY FARMS AND FOOD BUSINESSES IN 6 SEATTLE NEIGHBORHOODS. MORE THAN 550,000 SHOPPERS ACCESSED THE MARKETS AND GENERATED MORE THAN $10,400,000 IN LOCAL FOOD ECONOMY SALES, BOUNCING BACK SHARPLY FROM PANDEMIC CLOSURES. THE ORGANIZATION FACILITATED ACCESS TO LOW OR NO-COST FOOD FOR MORE THAN 30,000 HOUSEHOLDS EACH MONTH THROUGH SNAP/EBT, WIC, AND FRESH BUCKS. ADDITIONALLY, GROWING FOR GOOD PROVIDED WHOLESALE CONTRACTING OPPORTUNITIES FOR 14 FARMERS WHO DELIVERED TO 19 FOOD PANTRIES.
