WEATHERIZATION:ACDC PROVIDES WEATHERIZATION ASSISTANCE IN THE COPPER RIVER BASIN, KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH, KODIAK ISLAND BOROUGH, LAKE AND PENINSULA BOROUGH, MAT-SU BOROUGH, MANY SOUTHEAST ALASKA COMMUNITIES, THE TAYLOR HIGHWAY SYSTEM, AND THE TOK AREA. THE WEATHERIZATION PROGRAM PROVIDES HOME WEATHERIZATION FOR LOW-TO-MODERATE-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS WHO OWN OR RENT ELIGIBLE HOMES: APARTMENTS, CABINS, CONDOMINIUMS, HOUSES, MOBILE HOMES, AND MULTI-FAMILY DWELLINGS (DUPLEXES AND LARGER) IN ORDER TO BRING HOMES UP TO SAFE, HEALTHY, AND ENERGY-EFFICIENT STANDARDS.


HOUSING REHABILITATION:ACDC ADMINISTERS TWO DIFFERENT GROUPS UNDER THIS PROGRAM. THE FIRST IS FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE A DISABILITY. THIS PROGRAM SERVES IN THE KENAI PENINSULA AND MAT-SU BOROUGH AND IMPROVES ACCESSIBILITY TO EXISTING HOMES TO MITIGATE DAILY FUNCTIONAL LIMITATIONS. THE SECOND PROVIDES MODIFICATIONS TO IMPROVE ACCESSIBILITY FOR SENIORS (55 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER) CURRENTLY IN NEED OF SUCH MODIFICATIONS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ANCHORAGE, MAT-SU BOROUGH, KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH, COPPER RIVER BASIN, CITY OF KODIAK, AND TOK AREA.


HOUSING ASSISTANCE:ACDC'S HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM PROMOTES HOMEOWNERSHIP FOR LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS IN KENAI PENINSULA, THE MAT-SU BOROUGH, GLENNALLEN, VALDEZ, CORDOVA, JUNEAU, HAINES, KETCHIKAN, PETERSBURG, WRANGELL, SITKA AND KODIAK. ADDITIONALLY, UNDER THIS PROGRAM, ACDC PURCHASES LANDS, DEVELOPS, AND CONSTRUCTS NEW HOMES IN AN EXISTING SUBDIVISION.
