PROGRAM 1:COMPANY-DURING THE 2022-23 SEASON ENTITLED INSIDIOUS DESCRIPTION: THE LEGACY OF SLAVERY AND JIM CROW IS STILL WITH US AND STILL INFLUENCE AND INFORM MUCH OF AMERICAN CULTURE AND RACE RELATIONS. IT WAS THE ORGANZIATION'S 40TH ANNIVERSARY. PERFORMANCES INCLUDED OCCURRENCE AND TARGETED
SCHOOL: OVER 500 STUDENTS OF ALL AGES COME THROUGH THE STUDIOS EACH YEAR TO TAKE ONE OR MORE CLASSES OFFERED AT SPECTRUM . SPECTRUM OFFERS 57 CLASSES A WEEK, WHICK REPRESENTS 72 HOURS OF INSTRUCTION WEEKLY, TAUGHT BY OVER 20 FACULTY INSTRUCTORS . SPECTRUM IS OPEN FIFTY WEEKS PER YEAR, AND OUR YOUNGEST SUDENTS ARE 18 MONTHS AND OUR MORE MATURE STUDENTS ARE IN THEIR EIGHTIES AND NINETIES. THE DANCE CLASSES OFFERED ARE MOVEMENT WITH YOUR TODDLER, CREATIVE DANCE, BALLET, JAZZ, CONTEMPORARY AND WORLD DANCE. SPECTRUM'S GIFT OF DANCE SCHLOARSHIP PROVIDES 25+ SCHOLARSHIPS ALLOCATED TO STUDENTS AGED 5-21. SPECTRUM ALSO PROVIDES 120 HOURS OF DANCE EDUCATION PER YEAR IN THE PUBLICAND PRIVATE SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE SEATTLE AREA.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: SPECTRUM DANCE THEATER'S ENGAGMENT PROGRAMS PROVIDE DANCE CLASSES, ACCESS, EDUCATION AND SERVICES THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE. MOST COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS ARE FREE OF CHARGE.
