COMPANY: DURING THE 2020-2021 SEASON ENTITLED IMAGINING FUTURES - RACE, SOCIAL JUSTICE, AND THE CLIMATE CRISIS PERFORMANCES TRANSITIONED TO A VIRTUAL FORMAT AND INCLUDED: LYRIC SUITE, THE HARLEM NUTCRACKER WORKSHOP II & POOL & AFTER
SCHOOL: OVER 500 STUDENTS OF ALL AGES COME THROUGH THE STUDIOS EACH YEAR TO TAKE ONE OR MORE CLASSES OFFERED AT SPECTRUM. SPECTRUM OFFERS 57 CLASSES A WEEK, WHICH REPRESENTS 72 HOURS OF INSTRUCTION WEEKLY, TAUGHT BY OVER 20 FACULTY INSTRUCTORS. SPECTRUM IS OPEN FIFTY WEEKS PER YEAR, AND OUR YOUNGEST STUDENTS ARE 18 MONTHS OLD AND OUR MORE MATURE STUDENTS ARE IN THEIR NINETIES. THE DANCE CLASSES OFFERED ARE MOVEMENT WITH YOUR TODDLER, CREATIVE DANCE, BALLET, JAZZ, BREAK DANCE, CONTEMPORARY, AFRICAN AND WORLD DANCE. SPECTRUM'S GIFT OF DANCE SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDES 30+ SCHOLARSHIPS ALLOCATED TO STUDENTS AGED 5 TO 21 YEARS OLD. SPECTRUM ALSO PROVIDES 120 HOURS OF DANCE EDUCATION PER YEAR IN THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE SEATTLE AREA.
