SEATTLE SYMPHONY UNLEASHES THE POWER OF MUSIC, BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER, & LIFTS THE HUMAN SPIRIT.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
THE SEATTLE SYMPHONY IS ONE OF AMERICA'S LEADING ORCHESTRAS AND IS INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED FOR ITS INNOVATIVE PROGRAMMING AND EXTENSIVE RECORDING HISTORY. THE 2022-2023 SEASON SAW INCREASED POST-PANDEMIC AUDIENCES WITH 187,235 ATTENDING IN PERSON. THAT INCLUDED 36,098 FREE OR DISCOUNTED TICKETS AND OVER 50 COMMUNITY EVENTS AND PROGRAMS TO UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS THROUGHOUT THE PUGET SOUND REGION. STREAMING SERVICES WAS AN ADD ON BENEFIT TO SUBSCRIBERS AND SINGLE CONCERT GOERS WHO WERE ABLE TO VIEW PROGRAMMING REMOTELY. THE SYMPHONY ALSO PROVIDED STREAMING SERVICES TO OTHER ARTISTIC ORGANIZATIONS AND COMMUNITY GROUP EVENTS TAKING PLACE AT BENAROYA HALL.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING RETURNED TO IN PERSON AND LIVE EVENTS IN ADDITION TO DIGITAL CONTENT DELIVERED THROUGH THE STREAMING PLATFORM. ATTENDANCE IN THE 22/23 SEASON WAS 5,481 STUDENTS AND FAMILIES INCLUDING OFFSITE EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE PUGET SOUND REGION. THE LISTEN BOLDLY APP HAS ENHANCED THE SYMPHONY'S EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OUTREACH, WITH ALL PROGRAMS FOR PUBLIC BENEFIT NOW AVAILABLE DIGITALLY TO FAMILIES, STUDENTS AND TEACHERS ACROSS THE STATE AND CANADA. PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE TINY TOTS CONCERTS, LINK UP, AN INTERACTIVE CONCERT EXPERIENCE FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, AND THE YOUNG COMPOSERS WORKSHOP.
