CAMPING - 2,222 YOUTH AND 111 ADULTS PARTICIPATED IN CAMPING EXPERIENCES AT CAMP SEALTH. THE 6-13 DAY RESIDENT SUMMER CAMP, OUTDOOR EDUCATION, AND EVENT SESSIONS HOSTED AT CAMP SEALTH ENGAGE PARTICIPANTS IN DIVERSE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES. CAPACITIES WERE REDUCED DUE TO COVID-19.
DAY CAMP - 1,211 YOUTH AND 61 ADULTS PARTICIPATED IN LOW-COST, CAMPING ACTIVITIES DESIGNED TO HELP YOUTH BUILD SKILLS AND SELF ESTEEM AT 5 OUTDOOR PARK SITES THROUGHOUT KING & KITSAP COUNTIES. CAMPERS LEARN ABOUT NATURE THROUGH HANDS-ON ACTIVITIES INCLUDING BEACH WALKS, NATURE HIKES, FIRE BUILDING, OUTDOOR COOKING, AND SAFETY CLASSES.
GROUP PROGRAMS AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS - 160 YOUTH AND 160 ADULTS PARTICIPATED IN CAMP FIRE'S COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS INCLUDING OUR SIGNATURE GROUP PROGRAM, TEEN LEADERSHIP, AND AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMMING. CAMP FIRE ENGAGES GROUPS OF YOUTH, FAMILIES, OR INDIVIDUALS, AND PARTICIPANTS ARE ABLE TO DEVELOP FRIENDSHIPS, HAVE FUN, LEARN NEW OUTDOOR AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS, AND PROVIDE COMMUNITY SERVICE. SPECIAL INTEREST PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED FOR PARTICIPANTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS. SEVERAL PROGRAMS CONTINUED TO BE SUSPENDED DUE TO COVID-19.
