MANS HOSTED OUR ANNUAL IN-PERSON MEETING IN AUGUST FOR 2.5 DAYS. THE MEETING IS ACCME ACCREDITED TO PROVIDE OUR ATTENDEES TO EARN CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION CREDITS ON VARIOUS TOPICS IN NEUROLOGICAL SCIENCE. WE HAVE SESSIONS FROM 8AM-4PM DAILY FOR NEUROSURGEONS AND A CONNCURRENT SESSION FROM 9-1 FOR ADVANCED PRACTIONERS. WE INVITE 1-2 NATIONAL SPEAKERS AS OUR KEYNOTE/GUEST SPEAKERS AND PAY THEM TRAVEL AND HONORARIUM. IN ADDITION TO THE KEYNOTE SPEAKERS, WE INVITE NEUROSURGEONS FROM ACROSS MICHIGAN TO SHARE THEIR KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND INSIGHT WITH OTHER PROFESSIONALS, THEREBY IMPROVING THE FIELD OF NEUROSURGERY AND THE HEALTH OF PATIENTS. WE HAD 117 NEUROSURGEONS, 29 ADVANCED PRACTITIONERS ATTEND AND AN ADDITIONAL 75 VENDORS ATTEND. WE OFFERED MICHIGAN SURGEON RESIDENTS TO ATTEND AND PRESENT THEIR RESEARCH ABSTRACTS, WHICH WERE VOTED ON AND AWARDED PRIZES.
