USE ITS HISTORY AND EXPERTISE TO STRENGTHEN AND ACCELERATE THE ESCALATING MOVEMENT FOR REPARATIONS IN THE UNITED STATES THROUGH EDUCATION, INFORMATION, AND COLLABORATION.

DURING ITS INITIAL YEAR OF OPERATION IN 2022, THE REPARATION EDUCATION PROJECT CONDUCTED PRESENTATIONS AND TRAININGS ON REPARATIONS, SERVED AS A TRUSTED ADVISOR AND STRATEGIC THOUGHT PARTNER TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, EDUCATIONAL AND RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS, AND PHILANTHROPY, AND UPON REQUEST, PROVIDED TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO FEDERAL, STATE, AND MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT. REP HOSTS A "REPARATIONS MOVEMENT MONTHLY MEET-UP" ON THE LAST TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH AS A VIRTUAL SPACE THAT PROVIDES THE OPPORTUNITY FOR ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS TO COME TOGETHER FOR NETWORKING, COLLABORATION, EDUCATION, AND INFORMATION-SHARING ON ISSUES RELEVANT TO THE RAPIDLY GROWING REPARATIONS ECOSYSTEM.


WE COMPLETED DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPREHENSIVE WEBSITE WHICH INCLUDES BASIC INFORMATIONAL FACT SHEETS AND OTHER RESOURCES THAT ASSIST NEWCOMERS TO THE FIELD; A TEDX TALK ON REPARATIONS DELIVERED BY ITS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR; A HUMAN RIGHTS AND JUSTICE PODCAST SERIES, AND THE PUBLISHING OF A BOOK AUTHORED BY REP'S DIRECTOR, REPARATIONS ON FIRE: HOW AND WHY IT'S SPREADING ACROSS AMERICA.


PART OF REP'S MISSION IS ADVOCACY AND COALITION-BUILDING THAT BRING LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE AND ORGANIZATIONS TOGETHER. AS SUCH, REP COLLABORATES WITH OTHER GROUPS, INCLUDING THE NATIONAL COALITION OF BLACKS FOR REPARATIONS IN AMERICA, THE NATIONAL AFRICAN AMERICAN REPARATIONS COMMISSION, FIRST REPAIR, THURGOOD MARSHALL CIVIL RIGHTS CENTER AT HOWARD UNIVERSITY, THE CANOPY COLLECTIVE, AND THE WHY WE CAN'T WAIT COALITION.
