THE OBJECTIVES OF THE ARIZONA ARCHAEOLOGICAL AND HISTORICAL SOCIETY (AAHS) ARE: TO ENCOURAGE SCHOLARLY PURSUITS INTO THE HISTORY AND ANTHROPOLOGY OF THE SOUTHWEST UNITED STATES AND NORTHWEST MEXICO; (SEE SCHEDULE O FOR FULL MISSION STATEMENT)

DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING IN JUNE 2022, THE SOCIETY CONTINUES TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR A NUMBER OF INDIVIDUAL RESEARCHERS AND ORGANIZATIONS AND TO OFFER EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES TO MEMBERS THROUGH PUBLICATIONS, PROGRAM PRESENTATIONS, AND FIELD TRIPS. MEMBERSHIP AT THE END OF THE YEAR STOOD AND 593 INDIVIDUAL AND INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS. CONTINUING CONCERNS WITH PANDEMIC CONDITIONS RESULTED IN VIRTUAL FORMATS WITH MINIMAL IN-PERSON EVENTS. MORE THAN $15,000 WAS DISTRIBUTED TO INDIVIDUALS THROUGH THE SOCIETYS RESEARCH GRANT PROGRAMS, AND MORE THAN $8000 IN PROCEEDS FROM BOOK SALES WAS DONATED TO THE ARIZONA STATE MUSEUM LIBRARY.
