PROMOTE SCIENCE AND PROGRESS OF PSYCHIATRY THROUGH CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION COURSES OFFERED TO MEMBERS, OTHER MEDICAL PRACTIONERS AND MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY. PROVIDE EDUCATION AND RELEVANT NEWS UPDATES THROUGH EMAIL AND OTHER MEDIA. ADVOCATE FOR OUR PATIENTS AND PROFESSION.
PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS FOR ALL INCOMING RESIDENTS TO PSYCHIATRY PROGRAMS AT ALL STATE UNIVERSITIES.ALSO PROVIDE ONE SCHOLARSHIP AWARD FOR ONE STUDENT FROM EACH SCHOOL WHO SUBMITS AN ESSAY. THE ESSAYS ARE CRITIQUED BY INDEPENDENT JUDGES AND SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED.
