DINE CARES MISSION IS TO ADVOCATE FOR OUR TRADITIONAL TEACHINGS BY PROTECTING AND PROVIDING A VOICE FOR ALL LIFE WITHIN AND BEYOND THE FOUR SACRED MOUNTAINS. WE PROMOTE REGENERATIVE AND SUSTAINABLE USES OF NATURAL RESOURCES CONSISTENT WITH THE DINE PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE.

THE ORGANIZATION STANDS UP TO DEMAND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT PRACTICES, BRINGING SYSTEMIC CHANGES IN TRIBAL POLITICS AND MAKING THE GRASSROOTS VOICES EVIDENT IN THE REALM OF ENERGY DEVELOPMENT. SOME OF THE PROJECTS THE ORGANIZATION FOCUSES ON INCLUDE COAL RETIREMENT, COAL ASH, NUCLEAR WASTE AND URANIUM, OIL/GAS, HELIUM, AND FORESTRY.WE PRIORITIZE ORGANIZING TO PROTECT OUR SACRED HOMELAND FROM FURTHER RESOURCE EXTRACTION BY PARTNERING WITH OTHER COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND ORGANIZATIONS ACROSS NAVAJO NATION LANDS, AS WELL AS THE GREATER SOUTHWEST REGION AND ELSEWHERE. WE HAVE DEVELOPED A CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE METHOD OR ORGANIZING , PUBLIC EDUCATION, OUTREACH, AND ADVOCACY, DEMONSTRATING THE RELEVANCE AND IMPORTANCE OF OUR TRADITIONAL BELIEFS AND PRACTICES TO ADDRESS THE ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS FACING OUR NATION AND REGION.
