CALIFORNIA POLICYNEXTGEN POLICY CENTER PROVIDED POLICY ANALYSIS AND PUBLIC EDUCATION AROUND PUBLIC POLICY PROPOSALS DURING THE 2021 LEGISLATIVE SESSION. NEXTGEN POLICY CENTER'S WORK FOCUSES MAINLY ON THE KEY ISSUE AREAS OF CLIMATE, AFFORDABLE HOUSING, VOTING RIGHTS, HEALTHCARE, CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM, EDUCATION, ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE, IMMIGRATION, INCOME INEQUALITY, MENTAL HEALTH, CONSUMER PROTECTION AND VETERAN AFFAIRS. NEXTGEN POLICY CENTER ALSO PUBLISHED REPORTS OF THEIR POLICY ANALYSIS THROUGH THE RELEASE OF THE CLIMATE 100 ISSUE BRIEF AND AUTOMATIC VOTER REGISTRATION REPORT. THE TEAM ALSO RELEASED A CREDITOR COLLEGES REPORT THROUGH COLLABORATION WITH OTHER STUDENT DEBT PARTNERS, AND ASSISTED THE PROGRESSIVE PROSECUTORS ALLIANCE (PPA) WITH THE SURVIVOR VOICES REPORT BY MODERATING DISCUSSIONS AND LISTENING SESSIONS WITH SURVIVORS OF CRIME VIOLENCE.THE NGP TEAM IMPLEMENTS A ONE-OF-A-KIND INTEGRATED OPERATIONAL APPROACH THROUGH A SYSTEM OF WORK STREAMS THAT INCLUDE: THOUGHTFUL POLICY ANALYSIS AND ADVOCACY; EXECUTION OF LEGISLATIVE, PROGRAMMATIC, BUDGETARY, AND REGULATORY STRATEGIES; CULTIVATION AND DEPLOYMENT OF GRASSROOTS PARTNERSHIPS; IMPLEMENTATION OF STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS; AND TACTICAL POLITICAL ENGAGEMENT --EACH COMPONENT WORKING INTEGRATIVELY AND DESIGNED TO ADVANCE A MEANINGFUL PROGRESSIVE POLICY AGENDA.
