Part 3 - Line 4a
2021 WAS A SOLID RE-BUILDING YEAR FOR COBS AFTER 2020, A YEAR WHEN COBS RAN MINIMAL PROGRAMMING DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. ROBUST COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS ENABLED COBS TO RESUME ITS TRADITIONAL EXPERIENTIAL WILDERNESS COURSES, WHICH DELIVERED STRONG OUTCOMES TO OUR STUDENTS AS SOCIETY RECOVERED FROM THE PANDEMIC. COBS WAS STILL LIMITED IN ITS ABILITY TO RUN SCHOOL AND PROFESSIONAL COURSES COMPARED TO PREVIOUS YEARS DUE TO COVID SAFETY CONCERNS. IN 2021, COBS SERVED 578 STUDENTS ON 52 SEPARATE COURSES, FOR A TOTAL OF 12,298 STUDENT PROGRAM DAYS, REPRESENTING 70% OF COBS'S 2019 (PRE-PANDEMIC) VOLUME. THESE COURSES TOOK PLACE IN COLORADO AND UTAH AND CONSISTED OF MOUNTAINEERING, MOUNTAIN AND CANYON BACKPACKING, ROCK CLIMBING, WHITEWATER RAFTING, AND CANOEING.
