FHCCA PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO DEVELOP, PROMOTE, AND OPERATE PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES THAT WILL PRESERVE AND ENHANCE CULTURAL, CIVIC, EDUCATIONAL, AND SOCIAL QUALITIES WITH THE TOWN OF FOUNTAIN HILLS.

FOUNTAIN HILLS PUBLIC ART COMMITTEE HAS WORKED TO CREATE AN EXCELLENT COLLECTION OF PUBLIC ART. PIECES ARE LOCATED INSIDE OF THE FOUNTAIN HILLS COMMUNITY CENTER, TOWN HALL, CENTENNIAL CIRCLE, FOUNTAIN PARK, AVENUE OF THE FOUNTAINS, AND OTHER LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY. PUMP HOUSE PILOT PROJECT-THE PUBLIC ART COMMITTEE FORMULATED A NATIONAL CALL TO ARTISTS TO CREATE A NEW AND EXCITING OUTDOOR ART GALLERY EXHIBIT FOR THE MURAL WALL AT FOUNTAIN PARK. THIS PROJECTS THEME IS LEGENDS AND LORE OF THE VALLEY OF THE SUN AND WILL BE ON DISPLAY FOR ONE YEAR. THE 7 FINALIST'S ART WILL BE TRANSPOSED ONTO 4'H X 8'W HORIZONTAL DIBOND BRUSHED METAL PANELS WHICH WILL BE SECURED BY A LOCKED BRACKET SYSTEM. THERE ARE NO SHARP EDGES AND THE METAL WILL WEATHER WELL AND WILL NOT FADE IN OUR CLIMATE. EACH PANEL WILL HAVE THE ARTIST'S NAME, TITLE OF THE PIECE, A SMALL DESCRIPTIVE PARAGRAPH AND A SPONSOR OF THE PANEL. FOUNTAIN OF LIGHT - OUR ICONIC FOUNTAIN, THE CENTERPIECE OF OUR TOWN, CELEBRATES ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY THIS YEAR. TO COMMEMORATE THIS MOMENTOUS CELEBRATION, LOCAL ARTIST BRIAN SCHADER IS BRINGING A NEW SCULPTURE TO OUR PUBLIC ART COLLECTION.THIS MAGNIFICENT GLASS SPIRE, INSPIRED BY OUR FOUNTAIN, REPRESENTS WHAT IT MEANS TO ALL WHO LIVE AND VISIT OUR BEAUTIFUL TOWN. FEW WILL ARGUE THE POWER AND MAJESTY OF OUR GRAND FOUNTAIN AND HOW IT ANCHORS THE DESIGN OF OUR ENTIRE COMMUNITY.
AT THE HEART OF EVERY GREAT COMMUNITY IS A STRONG GROUP OF CLUBS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND OTHER ENTITIES THAT BRING A UNIQUE FLAVOR AND EXPERIENCE TO THE PUBLIC SUCH AS COMMUNITY BAND, CIVIC AFFAIRS, DARK SKY, AED, IN-HOME CONCERTS, MUNCH AND MUSIC, FH WOMENS CLUB, VISION FOUNTAIN HILLS, ENCORE FOR MORE, LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, AND POINSETTIA TREE.
THE NON-AUDITION COMMUNITY CHORUS WAS FOUNDED IN 1991 BY A GROUP OF FOUNTAIN HILLS RESIDENTS. IT IS A FOUR-PART HARMONY ENSEMBLE AND IS OPEN TO ALL WHO LOVE TO SING AND DESIRE TO GROW MUSICALLY. THE FOUNTAIN HILLS COMMUNITY CHORUS ENTERTAINS ITS AUDIENCES WITH BEAUTIFUL CHORAL MUSIC WHILE PROVIDING AN ENJOYABLE MUSICAL EXPERIENCE FOR ITS MEMBERS. THE NON-AUDITION CHORUS SINGS IN FOUR-PART HARMONY AND IS OPEN TO ANYONE WHO LOVES TO SING. THE ABILITY TO READ MUSIC IS NOT REQUIRED. THE CHORUS PERFORMS TWO WINTER HOLIDAY CONCERTS AND TWO SPRING CONCERTS EACH YEAR.
THE FOUNTAIN HILLS COMMUNITY GARDEN IS A GATHERING PLACE WHERE RESIDENTS CAN LEARN TO GARDEN, GROW HEALTHY PRODUCE, CONNECT WITH NATURE, STAY PHYSICALLY ACTIVE AND BUILD SOCIAL INTERACTIONS. THE ORGANIC FRUITS AND VEGETABLES GROWN IN THE GARDEN CAN BE DONATED TO FOOD BANKS, SHELTERS, AND HELP UNDERSERVED FAMILIES. OVER THE COURSE OF THREE YEARS, DOZENS OF VOLUNTEERS HAVE ENTHUSIASTICALLY WORKED TO CREATE A NURTURING GARDEN SPACE WHERE WE BUILD A SENSE OF COMMUNITY, PROVIDE GARDENING LESSONS FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS, AND GROW NUTRITIOUS, ORGANIC PRODUCE WHILE BEAUTIFYING OUR TOWN. OUR GARDEN NOW INCLUDES: 117 LEASED BEDS 6 ADA BEDS 5 FOOD BANK DONATION BEDS GREENHOUSE AND WORK AREA 2 GARDEN SHEDS BEEHIVE ENCLOSURE WITH 3-4 HIVES 6 COMPOST BINS SHADED PAVILION AND FARM TO TABLE DEMONSTRATION AREA
