THE FOUNDATION'S MISSION IS TO WORK HAND IN HAND WITH OUR DIVERSE COMMUNITIES TO CREATE CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE STRATEGIES THAT BUILD INFLUENCE, EQUITY AND OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL LATINO COLORADANS. THE FOUNDATION'S VISION IS A COLORADO WHERE LATINOS ARE UNITED AND ADVANCING THEIR COLLECTIVE POWER.

ADELANTE COLORADO: LCFC LAUNCHED THE ADELANTE COLORADO CAPACITY BUILDING PROJECT THAT BUILDS THE CAPACITIES OF LATINO-LED AND SERVING NONPROFITS AND LEADERS IN COLORADO. THROUGH A CULTURALLY GROUNDED PROCESS, 22 ORGANIZATIONS WERE SELECTED AS THE MEMBERS OF THE THREE-YEAR ADELANTE COLORADO COHORT. FROM 2021 THROUGH 2024, ORGANIZATIONS WILL RECEIVE BETWEEN $45,000 AND $150,000 FOR A TOTAL OF $2 MILLION IN DIRECT FUNDING. IN ADDITION TO THE FINANCIAL SUPPORT, ADELANTE WILL FURTHER ASSIST GRANTEE ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING TO SUPPORT EACH ONES UNIQUE PATHWAY TOWARD A BOLD AND COURAGEOUS EVOLUTION.AYUDA COLORADO: IN 2021, LCFC MADE GRANTS IN THE AREAS OF GENERAL OPERATING, BASIC NEEDS FOR COMMUNITY, CAPACITY BUILDING, TECHNOLOGY, ORGANIZATIONAL WELLNESS, AND PROGRAMMATIC. AS A RESULT OF COVID-19 LCFC CREATED THE AYUDA COLORADO FUND AND STRATEGY TO RESPOND TO COMMUNITY NEEDS THROUGH GRANT MAKING AND INVESTMENTS, DATA AND RESOURCES AND CAPACITY BUILDING OPPORTUNITIES. IN ADDITION TO THE GRANTS, THE LCFC WAS ABLE TO LEVERAGE ADDITIONAL FUNDING TO COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS.YOUNG LATINO PHILANTHROPISTS (YLP) FUNDED STATEWIDE ORGANIZATIONS WORKING TO PROVIDE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES. ONCE THE PANDEMIC HIT, THE LEADERSHIP TEAM ALLOWED ALL GRANTEES TO REDIRECT FUNDING TO ANY ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS.AFTER THE PANDEMIC, WE CONTINUED TO SUPPORT THESE ORGANIZATIONS AS THEY WERE OFTEN THE FIRST STOP AND THE ONLY TRUSTED RESOURCE FOR IMMIGRANTS AND REFUGEES WHO REQUIRED SERVICES BUT COULD NOT COUNT ON GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS OR LARGER NONPROFITS TO BE OPEN OR WELCOMING.LCFC CONTINUED TO SUPPORT LATINAS IN LEADERSHIP THROUGH THE LAS MUJERES VALIENTES FELLOWSHIP. THE DIVERSE LEADERS-BUILT COMMUNITY ACROSS COLORADO THROUGH CULTURALLY RESPONSIVE EVENTS AND GATHERINGS. THEY HELPED TO LEAD UNIQUE ONLINE SESSIONS FOR LATINAS TO ATTEND. THE FELLOWS ALSO WORKED TOGETHER ON RESPONSIVE PROJECTS SUCH AS DISTRIBUTING RESOURCES AND BASIC NEEDS TO THEIR COMMUNITITES.
LAUNCH OF THE COLORADO COMMUNITIES OF COLOR LOAN FUND - ENSURES ACCESS TO CAPITAL TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS LED BY AND SERVING COMMUNITIES OF COLOR. NONPROFITS OF COLOR HAVE HISTORICALLY EXPERIENCED CHRONIC UNDERCAPITALIZATION AND FINANCIAL INSTABILITY THAT PREVENTS LONG-TERM STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT AND IMPACTS DAY-TO-DAY NONPROFIT MANAGEMENT. TO COMBAT THESE SYSTEMIC INEQUITIES AND HELP COMMUNITY-LED ORGANIZATIONS TO CREATE POWERFUL VISIONS, ESPECIALLY IN A TIME OF REBUILDING, THE LCFC ESTABLISHED THE CCCLF, A REVOLVING LOAN FUND TO SERVE THE SHORT-TERM CAPITAL AND INVESTMENT NEEDS OF NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS LED-BY AND CENTERED-ON COMMUNITIES OF COLOR.
