LEGISLATIVE AND LOBBYING ACTIVITIES:ARIZONA NEWSPAPERS ASSOCIATION IS THE OFFICIAL VOICE OF ARIZONA NEWSPAPERS IN THE STATE LEGISLATURE. THE ASSOCIATION RETAINS A LOBBYIST WHO WORKS PROACTIVELY TO PROTECT NEWSPAPERS BUSINESS INTEREST AND FIRST AMENDMENT ACTIVITIES ON THE STATE, COUNTY, AND LOCAL LEVELS. DURING THE LEGISLATIVE SESSION, MEMBERS RECEIVE A WEEKLY LEGISLATIVE ALERT NEWSLETTER TO KEEP THEM INFORMED ON MATTERS OCCURRING AT THE CAPITOL.
