ARMA SERVES THE INTEREST OF MEMBER PHYSICIANS IN ARIZONA. IN SERVING ITS MEMBERS, ARMA PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES: (1) ADVOCACY - ARMA REPRESENTS 4,000 PHYSICIAN MEMBERS BEFORE THE LEGISLATURE AND STATE AGENCIES, HEALTH PLANS, MEDIA, AND GENERAL PUBLIC. ARMA IS ACTIVELY INVOLVED TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO CARE THROUGHOUT ARIZONA.(2) MEDICAL PRACTICE - ARMA OFFERS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND ONLINE RESOURCES ON BUILDING ESSENTIAL PRACTICE OPERATIONAL SKILLS FOR ALL MEMBERS.(3) PEER SUPPORT PROGRAM - ARMA OFFERS DIRECT PEER SUPPORT TO DISTRESSED ARIZONA PHYSICIANS, RESIDENTS, FELLOWS, AND MEDICAL STUDENTS THROUGH THE VIRTUAL DOCTORS' LOUNGE THAT CONNECTS PHYSICIAN PARTICIPANTS WITH TRAINED PEER COACHES, PROVIDES CUSTOMIZED REFERRALS FOR PSYCHCOLOGICAL SUPPORT AND OTHER RESOURCES, INCREASES PHYSIOLOGICAL WELL BEING, AND SUPPORTS PEAK PERFORMANCE FOR INDIVIDUAL PHYSICIANS.
