ASSISTANCE LEAGUE VOLUNTEERS TRANSFORMING THE LIVES OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS THROUGH COMMUNITY PROGRAMS FOR AT RISK CHILDREN, CHILDREN IN TRAUMATIC SITUATIONS, ASSUALT VICTIMS AND NEWBORNS AT THE HOSPITAL.

OPERATION SCHOOL BELL PROVIDES CLOTHING AND SHOES TO ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOLSTUDENTS. DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR 1616 STUDENTS WERE SERVED WITH SHOE VOUCHERS AND2990 STUDENTS RECEIVED SHOES THROUGH THE KRQE CARES SHOES FOR KIDS PROGRAM. HYGIENE AND ESSENTIAL PRODUCTS WERE DISTRIBUTED TO STUDENTS AND FAMILIES IN 18 TITLE I SCHOOLS, AND NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS WERE DISTRIBUTED TO 400 FAMILIES. 29 SCHOOLS RECEIVED CLOTHING, SERVING 1690 CHILDREN.
THRIFT STORE - ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF ALBUQUERQUE OPERATES A THRIFT STORE WITH 100%VOLUNTEERS. CLOTHES ARE SOLD AND ALSO GIVEN TO LOCAL NONPROFITS FOR THEIR CLIENTS.
BLUE PORTAL PROVIDES AN OUTLET FOR SENIOR ARTISTS TO SELL THEIR CRAFTS IN A RETAILENVIRONMENT. 100% OF ENTIRE PURCHASE PRICE IS RETURNED TO THE SENIOR ARTISTS. DURINGTHIS FISCAL YEAR, 314 ARTISTS PARTICIPATED GENERATING $226,004 IN SALES, WHICH WAS100% RETURNED TO ARTISTS.
