MACE SUPPORTS THE ADVANCEMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PUBLIC HEALTH INITIATIVES THAT PROMOTE THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF BIPOC WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN. WE FOCUS ON MITIGATING THE EFFECTS AND REDUCING ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES, CLOSING THE GAP IN HEALTH DISPARITIES, AND IMPROVING MATERNAL HEALTH OUTCOMES.

MACE SHAPED PREVENTION AND HEALTH EQUITY SOLUTIONS ON MATERNAL ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES THROUGH COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION, TRAINING, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, AND A SIGNATURE COMMUNITY AMBASSADOR PROGRAM.


MACE ADVANCED HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS' KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES THROUGH GRAND ROUNDS, NATIONAL ACADEMIA DISCUSSION AND LISTENING SESSIONS, AND PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCES TO MITIGATE FURTHER MATERNAL MORTALITY AND MORBIDITY OUTCOMES FOR BLACK, BROWN, AND INDIGENOUS MOTHERS AND THEIR BABIES.


THE MACE FELLOWSHIP FACILITATES AND SUPPORTS CRITICALLY-NEEDED RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES FOR BIPOC FEMALE RESEARCH SCIENTISTS AND MEDICAL DOCTORS, WHOSE RESEARCH FOCUSES ON AMERICAN BLACK, BROWN, AND INDIGENOUS WOMEN'S PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH, MATERNAL MORTALITY, AND THEIR BABIES' HEALTH. MACE AWARDED TWO TOP-TIER MEDICAL DOCTORS - RESEARCHERS FROM BOSTON UNIVERSITY SARGENTS COLLEGE AND BOSTON MEDICAL CENTER/COLLEGE AS THE INAUGURAL MACE FELLOWS FOR 2022-2023. MACE GRANT AWARD UNDERWRITES RESEARCH THAT SUPPORTS THE MOTHERS AND THE RESTORE PROJECTS. MOTHERS - MOVING OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY AND HEALTH EQUITY INTO REPRODUCTIVE-CARE SYSTEMS. RESTORE - REPRODUCTIVE SEXUAL GYNECOLOGIC HEALTH COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP
