THE MISSION OF THE KANSAS CITY PRIDE COMMUNITY ALLIANCE IS TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES, SUPPORT, SOCIAL ACTIVITIES, AND ADVOCACY TO ENRICH THE LIVES OF LGBTQ+ PEOPLE IN AN INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL.

KANSAS CITY PRIDE PARADE WAS HELD ON JUNE 11, 2022. THE PRIDE PARADE IS NOW ONE OF THE LARGEST IN KANSAS CITY. THE PARADE INCLUDED OVER 100 PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS WITH DECORATED VEHICLES, FLOATS, AND WALKING GROUPS. SPECTATORS, ESTIMATED TO BE AT LEAST 15,000, LINED THE STREETS ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE.

SHOW-ME KANSAS CITY PRIDE FESTIVAL WAS A 3-DAY EVENT TAKING PLACE AT THEIS PARK. OVER 15,000 ATTENDEES VISITED THE FESTIVAL BETWEEN THE 3 DAYS. THE FESTIVAL INCLUDED NEARLY 200 COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND BUSINESS VENDORS, FOOD VENDORS, COVID-19 IMMUNIZATION STATION, AND OVER 75 LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT ACTS.
THE INAUGURAL KC PRIDE ROYALTY PAGEANT WAS HELD. A QUEEN, KING, DUKE, AND DUCHESS WERE SELECTED FROM THE COMMUNITY TO REPRESENT KC PRIDE.
