HARMONY PROJECT HARNESSES THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF MUSIC TO INCREASE ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION FOR UNDERSERVED STUDENTS BY REMOVING SYSTEMIC BARRIERS TO ACHIEVEMENT THROUGH ACADEMIC AND SOCIAL SUPPORT.

HARMONY PROJECT PHOENIX OFFERS A COMPREHENSIVE MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAM TO UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN, WHICH INCLUDES ACCESS TO INSTRUMENTS, WEEKLY INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC LESSONS, ORCHESTRA AND CHOIR PROGRAMS, PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES, FIELD TRIPS TO CLASSICAL MUSIC CONCERTS, AND VARIOUS SUPPORTIVE RESOURCES. THE PROGRAM IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE TO STUDENTS, AND THE VAST MAJORITY OF PARENTS HAVE REPORTED SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENTS IN THEIR CHILDREN'S GRADES, BEHAVIOR, MOOD, AND HEALTH SINCE ENROLLING IN THE PROGRAM. ADDITIONALLY, THE HARMONY PROJECT PHOENIX PARTNERS WITH COMMUNITY COLLEGES TO ENCOURAGE COLLEGE ATTENDANCE AND OFFERS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ITS GRADUATES.
