PEER EDUCATORS REACHED OVER 50,000 LATINX PEOPLE IN TULSA WITH MESSAGES ABOUT COVID-19 VACCINE SAFETY AND INFORMATION TO ACCESS VACCINES. OVER 1,500PEOPLE WERE VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19 AT MOBILE VACCINATION CLINICS COORDINATED BY OUR ORGANIZATION IN COLLABORATION WITH THE TULSA HEALTH DEPARTMENT, THE OKLAHOMA CARING FOUNDATION, THE CITY OF TULSA, AND THE GEORGE KAISER FAMILY FOUNDATION.
IMPLEMENTING THE FIRST TULSA BOOTCAMP IN SPANISH FOR SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS AND ENTREPENEURS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH TULSA TECHNOLOGY CENTER AND 36 DEGREES NORTH BUSINESS INCUBATOR. WE GRADUATED THE FIRST CLASS OF 11 PARTICIPANTS IN NOVEMBER 2021.
OFFERING COVID-19 VACCINATIONS TO SMALL BUSINESSES LOCATED IN EAST TULSA IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CITY OF TULSAS OFFICE OF RESILIENCE AND EQUITY: OUR PEER EDUCATOS VISITED 152 SMALL, FAMILY-OWNED BUSINESSES AND REGISTERED 238 PEOPLE TO GET VACCINATED, IN DECEMBER 2021.
OFFERED VIRTUAL MENTAL HEALTH FORUMS IN SPANISH TO SUPPORT LATINX MENTAL HEALTH DURING THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC.18 MENTAL HEALTH FORUMS WERE HELD BETWEEN FEBRUARY AND JUNE 2021 INVOLVING 19 COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS, AND PEER EDUCATORS. WE HAD 534 VIRTUAL LOGINS INTO THE FORUMS.
