EJCAN HAS SERVED APPROXIMATELY 50 CLIENTS IN 2022. THIS INCLUDES PROVIDING BROCHURES AND OTHER INFORMATION ON VARIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES. EJCAN EMBARKED ON AN EFFORT TO CONDUCT OUTREACH TO LATINO FARMWORKERS. AS A RESULT OF THAT EFFORT THE ORGANIZATION HAS TRANSLATED MATERIALS INTO SPANISH FOR USE BY THAT COMMUNITY. EJCAN CONTINUES TO DEVELOP ISSUE SPECIFIC MATERIALS AS IDENTIFIED AND NEEDED.AS AN ACHIEVEMENT EJCAN HAS CONDUCTED THREE MEETINGS WHERE REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE LATINO COMMUNITY HAVE PARTICIPATED. IN ADDITION, IT HAS PROVIDED EIGHT TOXIC TOURS FOR BOTH RESIDENTS AND NON-RESIDENTS SO THAT THEY MAY BETTER UNDERSTAND THE SCOPE OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS FACED BY RESIDENTS OF THE COUNTY. THESE TOURS INCLUDE VISITS TO VARIOUS TOXIC SITES THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY AS WELL AS STOPS ALONG THE WAY FOR RIDERS TO MEET WITH AND HEAR FROM IMPACTED COMMUNITY MEMBERS.
