MESILLA VALLEY CASA WAS ORGANIZED FOR THE PURPOSE OF ADVOCATING FOR THE BEST INTERESTS OF ABUSED AND NEGLECTED CHILDREN AND SUPPORTS THE DEVELOPMENT, GROWTH AND CONTINUATION OF PROGRAMS WHICH RECRUIT AND TRAIN VOLUNTEERS TO SERVE AS COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES FOR CHILDREN INVOLVED IN ABUSE, NEGLECT, FAMILIES IN NEED OF SUPERVISION, AND JUVENILE DEPENDENCY PROCEEDINGS.

WE WERE ABLE TO NOT ONLY SUSTAIN OURSELVES DURING COVID BUT FOUND WAYS TO THRIVE. WE CONTINUED TO SUPPORT CHILDREN IN FOSTER CARE. WE TRANSITIONED FROM IN PERSON TO ON-LINE TRAINING. WE MAINTAINED OUR VOLUNTEERS AND CONTINUED TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO THE COURT, AND PROVIDED ADVOCACY ON BEHALF OF FOSTER CHILDREN. WE WERE ABLE TO COMPLETE ALL OF OUR GRANT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES EVEN THOUGH THEY MAY LOOK DIFFERENT THAN ORIGINALLY PLANNED.
