EDUCATION AND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES INCLUDE BIENNIAL PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE, AN ANNUAL MEMBERS MEETING AND TRAINING, RECYCLING AND COMPOST FACILITY OPERATOR CERTIFICATION COUSES AND OTHER OTHER PROFESSIONAL TRAININGS WITH AN AVERAGE OF 350 ATTENDEES PER YEAR, PUBLIC AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION ACTIVITIES SUCH AS PRESENTATIONS AND ONLINE RESOURCES.


MEMBER SERVICES PROVIDES APPROXIMATELY 230 MEMBERS WITH MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS, MAINTAINS SEARCHABLE RECYCLING DATABASE AND MEMBERS DIRECTORY, SUPPORT MEMBERS WITH LOCAL LEVEL TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE IN ORDER TO INCREASE RECYCLING, ENGAGE NMRC MEMBERS AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS AS ADVOCATES.


TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROVIDED HANDS ON TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO 63 COMMUNITIES TO EITHER LAUNCH OR EXPAND WASTE DIVERSION AND SOURCE REDUCTION PROJECTS. THIS INCLUDES SITE VISITS, CONSULTATIONS, COORDINATING EQUIPMENT OPTIONS, ASSISTING WITH LOGISTICS AND EDUCATION AND OUTREACH.
