JUDAISM PROGRAMS, GENERAL/OTHER: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO PROMOTE AND DEVELOP THE JEWISH COMMUNITY THROUGH CULTURAL EDUCATION, ENGAGEMENT, ACTIVISM, AND EVENTS. INCLUDED IS THE PRODUCTION OF A JEWISH NEWSPAPER PRINTED QUARTERLY AND DESIGNED TO EDUCATE READERS ABOUT LOCAL, NATIONAL AND WORLD MATTERS OF INTEREST TO THE JEWISH COMMUNITY. NO SUBSCRIPTION FEE IS CHARGED FOR THIS NEWSPAPER.
JUDAISM PROGRAMS, GENERAL/OTHER: THE JEWISH CARE PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES SOCIAL SERVICES TO SENIORS, THE UNDERSERVED, AND HOLOCAUST SURVIVORS. SERVICES INCLUDE SENIOR ADULT SOCIAL SERVICES, RESOURCE AND REFERRAL OF INFORMATION, EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE, AND EMOTIONAL AND SPIRITUAL SUPPORT.
JUDAISM PROGRAMS, GENERAL/OTHER: THE SEPHARDIC CITIZENSHIP PROGRAM - THIS PROGRAM WAS ADDED IN SEPTEMBER 2017 AND HAS BECOME A MAJOR PROGRAM. INDIVIDUALS FROM ACROSS THE WORLD SUBMIT APPLICATIONS THROUGH OUR ORGANIZATION IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A CERTIFICATE OF SEPHARDIC ANCESTRY. THIS CERTIFICATE IS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATIONS TO THE SPANISH GOVERNMENT FOR CITIZENSHIP FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE JEWISH ANCESTORS THAT WERE EXPELLED FROM SPAIN DURING THE SPANISH INQUISITION. THE PROGRAM HAS EVOLVED TO ASSIST THOSE SEEKING CITIZENSHIP TO OTHER COUNTRIES THAT HAVE CREATED SIMILAR PROGRAMS SUCH AS THE ONE IN SPAIN. SEPHARDIC AND PORTUGAL PROGRAMS CONCLUDED ON 12/31/2021, WITH SOME REFUND SPILLAGE INTO 2022 FOR PORTUGAL.
