YOUNG ADULT SURVIVORS UNITED (YASU) PROVIDES MENTAL HEALTH, SOCIAL, AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO YOUNG ADULT CANCER SURVIVORS DIAGNOSED BETWEEN AGES 18 AND 39. THIS POPULATION IS DEVELOPMENTALLY TRANSITIONING INTO EARLY ADULTHOOD AS THEY EARN INDEPENDENCE AND ESTABLISH INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS JUST WHEN BLINDSIDED BY CANCER, FORCING THEM TO PAUSE LIFE AND FIGHT FOR THEIR LIVES. YASU'S PROGRAMS ALLEVIATE THEIR ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, TRAUMA, AND DAILY STRESSORS BY OFFERING VIRTUAL SUPPORT GROUPS, SOCIALS, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, BOOK CLUBS, PRAYER GROUPS, AS WELL AS SUPPORT PROGRAMS FOR THEIR CAREGIVERS. ALL PROGRAMS ARE LED BY TRAINED FACILITATORS AND ARE OFFERED NATIONALLY WITH THE EXCEPTION OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.

WIG OUT - GUESTS WEAR HALLOWEEN WIGS TO CELEBRATE CANCER SURVIVORSHIPS WITH AN AUCTION, BEST WIG CONTEST, COMMUNITY VENDORS, AND COMPLIMENTARY FOOD.
YASU GOLF OUTING - HELD AT BIRDSFOOT GOLF CLUB AND WELCOMED 36 GOLFERS AND INCLUDED COMPLIMENTARY LUNCH AND AUCTION.
RAE OF HOPE - PROVIDES MEMBERS A FREE DAYLONG OR OVERNIGHT RESPITE TRIP; A CHANCE FOR THEM TO TAKE A BREAK FROM EVERYDAY STRESSORS AND MENTALLY RECHARGE WITHOUT THE BURDEN OF COSTS. MEMBERS ARE AWARDED ONE TRIP UNTIL ALL APPLICANTS HAVE BEEN AWARED; THEN THEY CAN REAPPLY ON AN ANNUAL BASIS.
